Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams is referred to be the innovator of the black and white photo style photography. At an early age, Adams was troubled. He was sick very often and was hyperactive in school. Those traits combined had resulted in having to leave several public schools. At the age of 12, he began schooling with family members and private tutors. Before the launch of his photography career he joined the Sierra Club. There he participated with several others protecting the nature. His first photo, "Monolith, the Face of Half Dome" in 1927. Ansel also worked with color photos in all landscapes, received awards from both Harvard and Yale, and is a member of the California Hall of Fame.

I chose this picture because the black and white effect really outlines the sun's rays and the rock shadows.

Found Face Story

Hello my name is Larry. I live in a family of three, just my parents and I. All my life I have had to deal with people calling me Harry because of the scar I got in my childhood. It got so bad that my parents got stuck me out back because of their embarrassment. I have no purpose anymore. The highlight of my day is seeing the dogs walk by on the sidewalk in front of the house. I'm stuck here on this fence post. This goes to show how much words can actually affect a life. I went from a normal kid to the laughing stock of the school and town just because of one joke. What I have learned from all of this free time is how to actually cast spells. Little do they know that all the crude humor that has been brought upon has resulted in my gain.

Favorite Picture Post

This picture encompasses my two favorite things. Baseball and sun setting skies. This ballpark, Fenway Park, is also home to my favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. The way the sun is still shining through the clouds but the lights illuminate the field provides a vibrant color scheme in the photo's background and foreground.
